Cancer care in Turkey
Of Medbook's three destinations, only Turkey arranges cancer care at the moment, and it offers all ten procedures in the area: eight grouped by type of cancer and two by form of treatment, one for radiotherapy and radiosurgery and one for chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
Prostate enlargement and prostatitis are not part of this area. They are a procedure in urology, another area that Medbook offers only in Turkey, and you can choose procedures from both areas in one request.
You see a price only when a clinic makes you an offer.

What you can have done in Turkey
Some procedures cover a single organ: breast, prostate and lung cancer treatment. Others group several: kidney, bladder and testicular cancer; bowel, stomach and liver cancer; and head, neck and thyroid cancer. Gynaecological cancers share one procedure, and blood cancers share another with bone marrow transplant. Medbook's guide to cancer care, under Treatments, describes them all.
Since no other destination offers this area, whichever of these procedures you choose, your results show Turkey; asking for offers there is still your decision, and the clinic goes through your case before it makes one.
How the trip usually goes
Medbook's guide to cancer care lists the records worth gathering. In the online consultation before you travel, one of the services in Turkey, ask which of them the clinic needs, whether any need translating and whether it plans fresh scans or tests on arrival.
Once you confirm an offer, you add the flight to your roadmap and then the transfer, and you can book each yourself or through Medbook. For the stay itself, Turkey's services include an interpreter and a personal coordinator for practical matters.
Appointments at the clinic usually come first, before treatment begins. Treatment plans can differ in length and in how many stays they need, and your clinic confirms the dates in its offer, which also shows whether follow-up is included; compare that between offers.
Questions
Where do I find thyroid surgery?
Medbook lists it in two places. Head, neck and thyroid cancer is a procedure in cancer care, and thyroid and parathyroid surgery is a procedure in general surgery. Only Turkey offers these two areas, so either choice shows Turkey in your results. Choose the one that matches what your doctors have told you.
Is bone marrow transplant a separate procedure?
No. On Medbook's list it is grouped with blood cancers, and that procedure, like the rest of cancer care, is offered only in Turkey. When you describe your case, you can add in your own words anything your doctors have told you about the transplant.
