Fertility treatment and IVF in Turkey
Fertility treatment is offered through Medbook in one country at the moment, Turkey, which offers all five procedures in the area: IVF and ICSI, artificial insemination (IUI), embryo genetic testing (PGT), embryo freezing, and infertility diagnosis and treatment.
Treatment takes place in one of eight Turkish cities, and the offer you receive names the city. Two procedures from the separate women's health area, fibroid and ovarian cyst treatment and endometriosis treatment, are likewise offered on Medbook only in Turkey, and you can choose treatments from both areas in one request.
You see a price only when a clinic makes you an offer.

What you can have done in Turkey
In Turkey, you can choose IVF and ICSI, artificial insemination (IUI), embryo genetic testing (PGT), embryo freezing, or infertility diagnosis and treatment, and you can choose more than one, for example IVF and ICSI together with embryo freezing. Medbook's guide to fertility treatment and IVF, under Treatments, explains what each procedure is.
When the assistant asks what you would like treated, you can also describe your situation in your own words, or choose "Not sure yet" under fertility and IVF. The clinic reviews your case before it makes you an offer.
How the trip usually goes
How many trips a fertility plan involves and how long each stay is depend on the treatment, and your clinic confirms the plan and the dates in its offer. Medbook's guide to fertility treatment and IVF lists the records to gather before you travel. If the plan involves more than one trip and you need a visa for Turkey, check how long a visa is valid for and whether it covers every trip. Visa support, such as an invitation letter, is among the services, and the official visa rules are linked from Medbook's page on Turkey, under Destinations.
Once you confirm an offer, your roadmap lets you book your flight yourself or ask Medbook to arrange it, and then the transfer. Transfers between the airport, your accommodation and the clinic, an interpreter for your stay and a personal coordinator for practical matters are among the services in Turkey. Aftercare can continue remotely after you return; before you confirm an offer, check whether it includes follow-up.
Questions
Do the fertility rules of my own country apply in Turkey?
Not necessarily. Treatment in Turkey follows the rules that apply there, which may not match those at home, for example on who can have treatment and whether donated eggs, sperm or embryos can be used. Medbook's guides do not describe Turkish law, so ask the clinic in the online consultation before you travel which laws it follows and how they apply to you.
Can I ask for infertility diagnosis without choosing IVF?
Yes. Infertility diagnosis and treatment is a procedure of its own on Medbook's list, offered in Turkey, so you can choose it on its own when you describe your case. The clinic confirms in its offer what it can do and when.
Is my name sent with my request?
No. When you choose where to ask for offers, the request does not include your name, e-mail address or phone number, and nothing is sent before you choose.
