What Medbook can arrange
In IVF, eggs are fertilised with sperm in a laboratory, and an embryo is then placed in the womb. ICSI is done as part of IVF: a sperm is injected directly into an egg. In artificial insemination (IUI), selected sperm are placed directly in the womb. Embryo genetic testing (PGT) tests embryos created during IVF for certain genetic conditions, and embryo freezing stores embryos for later use.
Infertility diagnosis and treatment covers the tests that look for the reasons behind difficulty conceiving, and the treatment that follows them. If you are not sure which treatment you need, choose "Not sure yet" under fertility and IVF when you describe your case, or describe your situation in your own words. The clinic looks at the details of your case before it makes you an offer.
Where treatment takes place
Fertility treatment through Medbook takes place in Turkey, in Istanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Adana, Bodrum, Bursa, Eskişehir and Kayseri. You do not have to choose a city first. Each offer shows where your treatment takes place, so you can compare places as well as dates.
Every service on Medbook's list is arranged in Turkey: airport and clinic transfers, accommodation, an interpreter, a personal coordinator, visa support, an online consultation before you travel and aftercare. Once you confirm an offer, your roadmap lets you book flights and transfers yourself or ask Medbook to arrange them.
The rules on fertility treatment differ from country to country, for example on who can have treatment and whether donated eggs or sperm can be used. When you describe your case, explain your situation in your own words, and ask about the rules that apply to you in the online consultation before you travel.
Before you travel
Gather your fertility test results and, if a partner is part of your treatment, theirs as well. Add letters from your doctors and the details of any earlier fertility treatment: when it took place, what was done and which medications were used. Write down the medications you take now and any allergies. The assistant asks about chronic conditions, allergies and medications when you describe your case.
Questions worth asking in the online consultation before you travel:
- How many trips does the treatment plan involve, and how long is each stay?
- Which tests or preparation can I do at home before I travel?
- If a partner is part of my treatment, do they need to travel too, and for which days?
- Who do I contact after I return home?
When you compare offers, look at the dates and at whether follow-up is included.
Questions
Which countries offer fertility treatment through Medbook?
Turkey, in eight cities. The countries on this page come from Medbook's catalogue, so if another country starts to offer fertility treatment, it will appear in the list on this page and in your results.
Can I choose more than one fertility treatment?
Yes. You can choose several treatments when you describe your case, for example IVF together with embryo genetic testing. The clinic confirms in its offer what it can do and when.
Can Medbook tell me my chances of success?
No. Medbook's guides describe how a trip works, not medical outcomes. Only a doctor who knows your situation can talk with you about what to expect.
Is an interpreter arranged?
Yes. An interpreter is among the services arranged in Turkey, together with a personal coordinator and aftercare. The assistant also asks which language you are most comfortable communicating in.
