Dental care in Turkey

Turkey offers all twelve dental procedures on Medbook's list, and four of them only there: All-on-4 and All-on-6 implants, tooth extraction and oral surgery, smile makeovers and dentures. Dental implants, veneers, crowns and bridges, braces and clear aligners and the rest of the list are offered there too.

Your offer shows which of Turkey's eight cities the treatment takes place in. Unlike South Korea, the other dental destination on Medbook, Turkey has transfers, an interpreter, a personal coordinator and aftercare among the services arranged for you.

How a Medbook trip works

  1. Tell the assistant what you need treated, where you travel from and when.
  2. See the destinations that offer your treatment and choose where to ask.
  3. Receive offers with a price and dates.
  4. Confirm an offer and get a day-by-day travel roadmap.

What you can have done in Turkey

Turkey's list includes dental implants and All-on-4 and All-on-6 implants, crowns and bridges, dentures, veneers, teeth whitening and smile makeovers, as well as braces and clear aligners. The list also covers fillings and root canal treatment, gum treatment and teeth cleaning, tooth extraction and oral surgery, and TMJ and teeth-grinding treatment. For an explanation of each procedure, see Medbook's guide to dental care, under Treatments.

When you choose dental care, the assistant asks how many teeth need treatment, from one or two up to the full mouth, and your answer goes into your request. You can choose several procedures at once, for example veneers together with teeth whitening. If you do not know yet what you need, choose "Not sure yet" under dental care. The clinic studies your case, including your answer about the number of teeth, before it makes you an offer.

How the trip usually goes

Depending on the procedure, a dental plan can take one trip or several, and your clinic confirms the plan and the dates in its offer. Before you travel, find your most recent dental X-rays, such as a panoramic X-ray, and any 3D scan (CBCT), and note the work you already have in your mouth, for example crowns or root fillings. In the online consultation, ask whether the plan may change once the clinic has examined you in person and, if the treatment needs a second trip, how far apart the two trips would be.

Once you confirm an offer, book your flight yourself or let Medbook arrange it, and then the transfer. In Turkey, the transfers between the airport, your accommodation and the clinic are arranged for you, and so is accommodation for your stay. An interpreter is arranged for your stay, and a personal coordinator handles practical questions from the moment you land. If you need a visa, visa support such as an invitation letter is among the services, and Medbook's page on Turkey, under Destinations, links the official visa rules. Aftercare can continue remotely once you are home; before you confirm an offer, check whether it includes follow-up.

Questions

Which dental procedures can I have only in Turkey?

All-on-4 and All-on-6 implants, tooth extraction and oral surgery, smile makeovers and dentures. The other dental procedures on Medbook's list are offered in South Korea as well, so for those your results show both countries and you choose where to ask.

What if my treatment needs more than one trip?

Your clinic confirms the plan and the dates in its offer. Ask in the online consultation before you travel how long the gap between trips would be and whether your dentist at home can look after you in between.

Can I combine dental work with another treatment in Turkey?

Yes. Turkey offers every treatment area on Medbook, so you can choose dental care together with, for example, a health check-up or hair restoration when you describe your case. The clinic confirms in its offer what it can do and when.
