What you can have done in South Korea
For the face, you can ask for rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, a facelift with a neck or brow lift, and facial contouring and lip lift. South Korea also offers breast augmentation and liposuction, as well as fat transfer, also called fat grafting. Medbook's guide to plastic and cosmetic surgery, under Treatments, explains what each procedure is.
Skin and aesthetic medicine, such as anti-wrinkle injections and laser skin treatment, is a separate area, and South Korea offers every procedure in it. If you know what you would like to change but not the name of the procedure, describe it in your own words when the assistant asks what you would like treated, or choose "Not sure yet" under plastic surgery. The clinic looks at the details of your case before it makes you an offer.
How the trip usually goes
Before you travel, write down what you would like to change and keep a few photos at hand that show it, along with records of any earlier surgery on the same area and a list of the medications you take, including supplements. In the online consultation, ask how long you should plan to stay, whether you will need special garments or supplies after the procedure, and when you can fly home.
Once you confirm an offer, your roadmap lets you book your flight yourself or ask Medbook to arrange it, and then do the same for the transfer from the airport. Accommodation is arranged for you for the length of your stay, and each offer shows where your surgery takes place. A stay typically includes a consultation before the procedure, the procedure itself and time to recover before the flight home, and your clinic confirms the dates in its offer. Aftercare is not among the services in South Korea, so when you compare offers, look at the dates and at whether follow-up is included.
Questions
Can I have several procedures on the same trip?
You can choose several treatments when you describe your case, and each destination in your results shows which of them it offers. Whether they can be done on the same trip is for the clinic to decide, and it confirms in its offer what it can do and when.
Do I choose the clinic?
No. You choose which destinations to ask, and the clinics behind them send you offers. Each offer shows the clinic, the price and the dates, so you can compare them before you confirm one.
Is a tummy tuck offered in South Korea?
Not through Medbook at the moment. Tummy tucks, body lifts, breast lift and reduction, male breast reduction and ear reshaping are offered in Turkey. South Korea offers breast augmentation, liposuction and fat transfer.
