What you can have done in South Korea
Alongside hair transplants, South Korea offers hair transplant repair, non-surgical hair-loss treatment and beard and eyebrow transplants, which are a procedure of their own. Medbook's guide to hair restoration, under Treatments, explains what each procedure is.
If you are not sure which of these you need, choose "Not sure yet" under hair restoration when you describe your case. If you have a particular transplant technique in mind, ask about it in the online consultation before you travel. The clinic looks at the details of your case before it makes you an offer.
How the trip usually goes
Before you travel, keep a few clear photos of your hair at hand, from the front, from above and from behind. If you have had a hair transplant before, write down what you know about it: when and where it was done, the technique and, if you know it, the number of grafts. In the online consultation, ask which technique the clinic plans to use, how long you should plan to stay and how to look after the treated area on the journey home.
Once you confirm an offer, your roadmap lets you book your flight yourself or ask Medbook to arrange it, and then do the same for the transfer from the airport. Accommodation is arranged for you for the length of your stay, and each offer shows where your treatment takes place. How long you stay depends on the procedure, and your clinic confirms the dates in its offer. Aftercare is not among the services in South Korea, so when you compare offers, look at the dates and at whether follow-up is included.
Questions
Where can I have scalp micropigmentation?
In Turkey. South Korea does not offer it through Medbook at the moment, though it offers every other hair restoration procedure on the list.
Can I have a beard or eyebrow transplant on its own?
Yes. It is a procedure of its own and is offered in South Korea. You can also choose it together with a hair transplant, and the clinic confirms in its offer what it can do and when.
Can I combine hair restoration with a skin treatment?
Yes. South Korea also offers every skin and aesthetic procedure on Medbook's list, and you can choose treatments from both areas when you describe your case. Each destination in your results shows which of them it offers.
